Writer
I love to write, despite the fact I rarely get paid to do so (yet!).
I specialise in long-form features, letting my curiosity and interests lead the way. No theme is too big or small; I like to take an irreverant look at serious issues and an earnest approach with frivolous topics. I think the best writing switches between hyper-specific personal and local details and a zoomed-out, bigger-picture perspective. That’s always what I aspire to achieve.
I’ve contributed to a variety of small publications and outlets, and have also published various articles on Substack.
Here is a small selection of pieces I’m particularly proud of:
The secret spots delivery riders go to eat - The Glasgow Bell
Charisma Kommando: there will never be another Falco - The Germanosphere Substack
Can EURO 2024 save Germany from its identity crisis? - The Germanosphere Substack
Hoop Dreams in Queen’s Park - Greater Govanhill
Delivering Your Dinner: A Deliveroo Rider’s Perspective - Greater Govanhill
Qatar World Cup: A collapsing climate and communal joy - The Brig Newspaper
